Thanks for researching this.

Well its not IE8 that is the problem but IE7 and IE6.  IE8 works fine, but not sure what font we are using.

I think I&#039;ll stick with images for now though because the smiley face I wanted and the checkmark with box worked in Firefox, Chrome, and IE8  (not IE6 and IE7), but the PDF refused to render them (though it rendered the regular checkmark.)  I forget what the unicode I was using for those were.  There is probably an equivalent compatible docbook one that I could look up.  I&#039;m kind of attached to my new make-shift hand-crafted T face though :).  

Took me forever to figure out how to get that far in Paint.NET.

Though something like this would have been way cooler
