Regina crafted matrix of functions available in upcoming PostGIS 1.5. Currently, PostGIS 1.5 is available from trunk in the Subversion repository.
The PostGIS 1.5 documentation is available under the manual-svn node and here is the PostGIS Function Support Matrix.
Regina, great job!
By the way, there is an interesting problem with check marks. does anyone know how to define check marks based on Unicode and make them visible in IE8?
A short survey shows that only the “Arial Unicode MS” font includes checkmark glyphs. Apparently Firefox has some kind of fallback mechanism in case a certain glyph does not exist.
Short story: Use “font-family: Arial Unicode MS, sans-serif;” and you’ll be fine.
Berend, thank you very much for this suggestion. I passed it to Regina and Kevin.
Mateusz,
Thanks for researching this.
Well its not IE8 that is the problem but IE7 and IE6. IE8 works fine, but not sure what font we are using.
I think I’ll stick with images for now though because the smiley face I wanted and the checkmark with box worked in Firefox, Chrome, and IE8 (not IE6 and IE7), but the PDF refused to render them (though it rendered the regular checkmark.) I forget what the unicode I was using for those were. There is probably an equivalent compatible docbook one that I could look up. I’m kind of attached to my new make-shift hand-crafted T face though :).
Took me forever to figure out how to get that far in Paint.NET.
Though something like this would have been way cooler
