The Cascadoss Project

Cascados LogoIn this post, I’m going to spread a word about the Cascados project. The project is founded by the European Commission in frame of the Sixth Framework Programme and is focused on development of a trans-national cascade training programme on Open Source GIS & Remote Sensing software for environmental applications. The Cascados project is formed by a number of partners from Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland. About OpenAerialMap on the Polish Web

LinuxNews.pl logoYesterday, Daniel Koć - notable FOSS evangelists in Poland - announced the OpenAerialMap project on the LinuxNews.pl (mirrored at OSNews.pl). The LinuxNews.pl is one of the biggest Polish online magazine devoted to FOSS news.

Daniel shortly introduced the OpenAerialMap project and compared to the OpenStreetMap initiative. There are also w few notes about OAM future plans based on Chrisposts to the project mailing lists.
